Project Title:
Exploring the socio-ecological drivers of predator–prey dynamics across a landscape in a mountain ecosystem
Abstract:

This study examines the ecological drivers of livestock depredation by large carnivores in human-dominated landscapes. By comparing depredation patterns across areas with different levels of human and livestock use, the research evaluates whether conflict is driven primarily by predator activity or by factors such as livestock abundance, husbandry practices and prey availability. The project aims to support evidence-based strategies that reduce human-wildlife conflict while promoting biodiversity conservation and rural livelihoods.
