Project Title:
Assessing tree community responses to anthropogenic disturbances in Bangladesh’s last tropical moist deciduous (Sal) forests
Abstract:

Under this project, I plan to investigate how different types and intensities of human-induced disturbances shape the structure, diversity, and functioning of Sal forests in Bangladesh. Remote sensing and GIS-assisted gridded land-use maps will be used to select sample plots through a stratified sampling design across the Sal forest landscape. Within each plot, all trees with a diameter at breast height (DBH) of 5 cm or greater will be measured and recorded, including tree height, DBH, and species identification.
