Abstract:

Under my project, I plan to investigate how human-induced disturbances contribute to forest fragmentation and land conversion in tropical moist deciduous forest ecosystems in Bangladesh. I will also analyze historical land use changes using remotely sensed satellite imagery. During my proposed summer field trip, I will validate my findings through intensive ground-truthing. Additionally, I will characterize the spatial arrangement of existing forest fragments during field visits
