My study will identify the social networks existing between organizations serving the Puerto Rican Diaspora in New Haven County, Hartford County, and Windham County, Connecticut and organizations in the San Juan Metropolitan Area Puerto Rico on emergency resource mobilization through climate-change-induced hazards. These connections will be uncovered through informational semi-structured interviews with organization staff members. This study does not collect information about the interviewees themselves. Instead, it asks them about the role of their organization in emergency resource mobilization and their organization connections and partners within the same county, between the same county, and between Connecticut and Puerto Rico. Connecticut's Puerto Rican Diaspora continues to grow as Puerto Ricans are displaced due to climate-change-induced hazards and economic policies, this study will situate which organizations through Connected are working together to meet emergency community needs. It will also consider the role these organizations in Connecticut have in emergency resource mobilization in partnership with organizations in Puerto Rico.
